: Wanderland
The site will go live August 1, 2008 with the cover and first five pages of the first issue.
We plan to update once a week on Thursday nights and the site will grow as the comic does.
The lj comm Wanderland exists so that people can ask questions, make comments and express their opinions.

Current goal: Get Grataz to 70. Get all toons ('cept the level 19 bg bracket toons) to 20.
Eventual goal: One 70 of each class before WotLK is released.
Fantasy goal: Get that Holy Priest on the PvP server to 70, hunt down the idiots who've been ganking me and spank them. Hard.

So. Moving two of my toons from Kirin Tor to Vek next month. Finishing getting Tsarinth fully epic'd out (as he's healing ZA, atm, in half-epics and some PvP gear and I am dead of shame of that). Going to Gruul's this month (or so we hope) and... I can't even remember the rest.

: State of the World (Of Warcraft)
What most people seem to forget is that this is a game. It is meant to be fun... and I've discovered that when it stops being fun, the easiest way to get the fun back is to switch to a baby toon and do some stress-free goofing around.
As a result, I have a total of 19 characters now and have declared a cap. No more toons until all of my current ones have hit 20 or, ideally, Tsarinth and Grataz are both 70.
I'm contemplating re-speccing Tsarinth to Protection, but I'm not sure how that's going to work in solo PvE as I'm used to burning my way through battles very, very quickly (yes, with a Holy spec) and I rarely, rarely die. If the battles take a lot longer, me and my short attention span will not be sticking with that spec, as it won't be helping me with either survivability or speed. But I'll be at least trying it out for future use. (There's a reason why my Warrior is not spec'd Prot, frankly. I don't know if I have the patience for it while soloing. Instances and end-game are an entirely different ball of wax.)
At any rate, here's what's going on in my pseudo-life.

In other news, while Kara is on farm and we're venturing into ZA, it's sucking a bit that I can't get enough bodies together for a second raid group into Kara so everyone will be geared for 25 mans because half the first group isn't interested in taking one night a week to help gear up and get experience to the newly keyed.
Teamwork, people. God.

Tonight, our guild ran Kara, as per usual. And we one-shotted everything, right up through Nightbane. Everything. Admittedly, we didn't do Prince, Netherspite or Chess, as we only raid for three hours a night, but we downed Nightbane.
I got my gloves. I have my Voidheart 2 piece set. I traded out my last blue trinket for a purple with my badges. I.... wow. Thurs we're going to ZA, once we'ved downed Prince and Netherspite. Saturday they're going to ZA again (and it looks like we're getting together with another guild to start doing Gruul's soon).
I'm co-raid leader of our second raid and it looks like we finally have enough bodies to start running Kara with that group, so everyone will have all the loot.
We officially have Kara on Farm.
oh my god.
Esterre's new shinies. Ignore the Scryer Gem. She has the Violet Insignia, I just logged out in the middle of fiddling with my trinkets.
Edit: With luck, I'll be exalted with the Violet Eye by the end of Thurs, for another gear upgrade. Glee. Last I checked, I was still only 23rd on my server Horde-side among my fellow Affliction 'locks for Shadow Damage. By Fri morning I hope to be in the top 15.

And here we go again. Remember, I'm a shut-in for all intents and purposes, and this is what I do for socialization. I spend far too much time at it, yes, and I'm aware... but it gets me out of the house, so to speak.
As always, this is for my own record so I remember just what the heck I was doing at this point.

: Last Week in WoW
So. Last week we cleared Karahzan through Prince. It's been suggested that we start pulling together our second raiding group and that I might be leader. I have new and shiny epics (including the best offhand for an Affliction Warlock in the entire game) for Esterre and life is fun.
I'm trying hard to take time to play with my friends on Vek'Nilash as well, but it's hard to get time away from my main server and with toons on three servers, I'm only playing where I can actually play with people. I've done enough WoW leveling and grinding all on my own and I'd like to interact with my friends now. Hence the spare time on Vek'Nilash while most of my time is still on Whisperwind.
At any rate, have some shiny images of my progress overall, the body of Ilhoof and the almost-body of Prince (no one remembered to take a screenshot after we took him down, so we'll be trying for that this week. I'll try to screenshot every boss death this time as we're going to try to clear Kara this week.

Hi, I'm an affliction lock and I have an aggro problem.
I picked up two new epics from Kara last night, which was awesome, but unfortunately I also experienced my first real problems with aggro. In the past, I was always comfortably third on the aggro meter. (Commonly following our tank, our usual mage and our other, much more experienced and better geared-lock.)
Tonight, our mix was two shaman, one mage (not our usual), our other awesome lock, me, a shadowpriest, two holy priests and two feral druid tanks. I did all right all the way up to Opera, wherein we got Romulo and Julianne, and... I could not stop pulling aggro. I stopped using DoTs. I even switched to my wand instead of shadowbolt, and unless I actively stopped casting here and there and just waited, even using Soul Shatter, I would suddenly be at the top of the chart, leaping two or even three places to get there. (I'm not talking about Julianne's cute little spell-casting, either, I'm talking full-on, in-my-face aggro.
Now... I'm staying a good distance away from the battle. I've ceased using my DoTs. I'm watching to see that our demonology lock with his 30% aggro reduction is ahead of me on the chart (and usually one of the shaman as well) and I'm still leaping ahead. (It doesn't help, I think, that I'm used to our regular mage being a total aggro whore and I'm always comfortably behind him.)
I use Omen and try to never so much as pull even with the frost mage, and keep at least one person between me and the tank, aggro-wise. I know it's very approximate, so I work hard at keeping my aggro low and this is the first time it's totally blown up in my face in months.
Gear and build behind the cut. ( I wish the Armory were working... )

So the wow_ladies community on lj decided to start their own guild - on Kirin Tor US, where I have several characters. Now Teroust (my Troll Shaman), Fahrsauk (my Undead Priest) and Sardulk (my very first warrior, an orc girl) all belong to [Fights Like a Girl].
(Yes, they do take men, you just have to be open to the idea that girls don't suck at WoW.)
At any rate... here I have my orc girl on a RP server... and I have no story for her at all. Ackackack. *gives her a mad girlcrush on Jaina, just because*

I popped my hip back into place last night, more or less by accident. Hooray for a flexible spine.
... then I threw out the other one this morning with a loud 'crack'. This will not be fun. As I was getting up, I discovered I have either the beginnings of a killer cold, or am suffering the first pangs of what will be the flu.
I told my grandmother that I wasn't going to breathe on her today and am going back to bed.
In WoW geek-related news, last night we one-shotted Attumen, the Maiden and Moroes. Tomorrow night we're going to do Opera for the first time ever. They're hoping for R&J. I'm betting we get Oz.
Today I was supposed to get the last honor points I need in the BGs for my Vindicator belt (I still have a piece of green gear that needs replacement, and was I embarrassed when I discovered that.) But Est is doing very well in the BGs, and (keeping in mind she spent most of the Moroes battle drinking pots and trying to keep herself alive after an early garotte) she did respectably well on the damage meters, coming in just behind one of the top 20 locks on our server... and he's all in epics. I... am not.
So yeah. That was awfully good for my ego, thank you.
I'd still like to respec back to afflic, but demonology seems to work better in the battlegrounds, as I am less... squishy.
And now... bed.

Home from Canada and I miss it already. *sighs*
On to WoW.
I finally got my equipment enchanted (although I hope to have my frozen shadoweave robe finished off soon). I still need gems for the boots, but I've been forbidden to do it myself and told to wait till one of our officers can do it for me. *blinks* Okay. I'm still broke after picking up my last two heroic keys and making spellcloth for a guildie, so....
I also joined a 5v5 arena team. *chews on a knuckle*
Amongst all this excitement, I did a lot of leveling of some of my alts. Man... this has become Remedial WoW. They totally castrated Hillsbrad, amongst other places. I feel as though I unlocked a cheat mode somewhere. Blah. This makes me twitchy because, once upon a time, you could see that someone was 70 and be at least a little confident that they knew how to play their class and had SOME experience.
Yeah, laugh at my optimism. *groans* They've totally defanged a lot of the quests DESIGNED to make you learn how to play your class to the utmost of your ability. BLAH.
At any rate, Saturday will be my first shot at arena (though I've done BGs once or twice). We'll see how I do.

Steve the Doll

All alts of the officers are also officers, so there is no need to log out and back in to get things done.
Our gl was messing around with the guild bank thing and then went to bed after a brief discussion involving access rights to the bank. I'd wondered idly how she'd solved it, but hadn't checked. As I went to log out, I noted that my rank was suddenly King Moonracer.
Now, for a glorious two minutes once, I was indeed gl... but being the decided n00b amongst our guild (having only been playing since May) it was just as placeholder as our gl switched the position amongst her toons. I still threatened to change the ranks to 'handsomest knight' and 'pretty pretty princess'.
... where was I?
Oh yes. *grins* She apparently made all four of her officers co-gls to solve her perception of the bank access problem. Awesome. I got a promotion... not that it'll make a difference, really. I'm the Ombudsman and the Ombudsman I shall remain.
Guild Leader, Officer in Charge of Instances/Raids, Officer in Charge of Training, Officer in Charge of Advancement, Ombudsman... it's always fun to have people look at your role as officer and be forced to ask 'wtf does that mean'?

As that's all I ever talk about these days...
My Forsaken Afflic/Dest Warlock dinged 70 today. Have my flying mount, a green windrider. Working on leveling a healadin, as that's what my guild needs right now as we gear up for Kara. More healers are key, and that's a lot of pressure as my belf healadin is only level 21.
On the bright side, I'm an officer in my guild (one of four, not counting the leader), our guild is small, well-motivated and full of experienced lvl 70s, all of whom are crazy in the good way. I am very, very fond of my guild, damn it, and the people in it. I'm also on my way to being keyed for Kara.
On the not-so-bright side, I have a LOT of rep to grind. Wow. Dinged honored with The Consortium today (hooray for a better bag of monthly gems) but I have miles to go with the Lower City (almost to Honored with Scryers) and just barely on the charts with the Skyriders and Ogri'la. *flails*
Back on the bright side... I have very, very nice gear for my having just hit 70 and my cousins invited me to dps some elite 72s for rep with Ogri'la tonight, which rocked hardcore... although I still have problems with pulling aggro off the tanks. Ah well. Practice will help, they assure me.

My Forsaken Afflic/Dest Warlock dinged 70 today. Have my flying mount, a green windrider. Working on leveling a healadin, as that's what my guild needs right now as we gear up for Kara. More healers are key, and that's a lot of pressure as my belf healadin is only level 21.

Tired.
Working on an editing job. Overheated (it's 90 F here today).
But? Got my toon to level 61 and she has her Dreadsteed. Woo. Pictures will be forthcoming. In the meantime - Esterre - although I've upgraded her equip a bit since that was done.
I also started a new toon on an RP server, but have done nothing with her yet. We'll see.
